Just like in a dream
Six great candles gleam

And fading before the stream
Wish I could kiss your rim
Touch your bowl
Hold your stem
But you know who I am

Then, in comes another soul
Of his disease, made whole
Took my horse
Sword and helm
And fled to his own realm

Because of my sin
When I loved my queen

Thus, more hard than is the stone
You found my heart alone
Now I know
Yes, indeed
No one can hear my plea

So, when my heart is broken in
Pieces, I’ll hear birds sing
And stride on
Back to the
Road that leads to the king
