Pass away, time's fatal kiss,
My blood doth clot, my body rot.
Dark and dreadful shadows blur
Distorted sight, my mind's might.

Embrac'd by eternity,
Painful-sweet anxiety
Hath reached the mountain of despair,
Of death and cold, poison'd air.
Darkness taketh me by hand,
Vanish'd to a mournful land.

Silent tears desire feed,
Frozen thoughts o' frozen greed,
Dust to cover, passionate night,
Redeem'd the pain of dreary fight,
Close pale eyes, faded chest
As I lay myself to rest.
