¡Oh! Sus corazones como arroyos áridos dolorosamente se morían de hambre.O! Their hearts like arid brooks painfully did starve.

¡Sin intentarlo nunca un héroe resolvió el enigma!'With no try ne'er did a hero solve the riddle!"

Dos amantes girando en un ballet de lágrimas,Two twirling lovers in ballet of tears,
El poeta, ahora gimiendo, teme su repentino final.The poet, now groaning, their sudden end fears.

Sus lenguas se encontraron en pradosTheir tongues met in meadows
De lujuria, arrojando sombrasOf lust, casting shadows
De Muerte, pasando porOf Death, passing by
¡Grito inmortal final!Immortal last cry!
¡Mira! Ha terminado, caen al suelo,Lo! It is over, they fall to the ground,
Al día siguiente dos cadáveres, abrazados, fueron encontrados.Next day two corpses, embracing, were found.

Un solo ataúd negro detuvo su carrera roja,A single black coffin ceased their red run,
Eternamente juntos, juntos como uno solo.Eternally 'gether, together as one.
