Tears of River

Shed tears
As the water of a river
Signs of an ancient sorrow
Through the time

Life fades
As concrete takes the water
Our cities lighted
For the setting Sun

I adapt the World to myself
Cure the plague, bring people close to me

When our progress gives life and takes
There’s a limit that should not be crossed

We built and try to shape the water
But Mother Nature takes its toll sometimes

Consciousness grows facing disaster
Time to avoid the point of no return

I'm on the river
Shedding tears
That will bring up
A new way of life
And destruction will end
We should never walk this way
And this new way of life
Will come to enlight us
