Insanity Plea

The other day I heard somebody saying
While our special song had been playing
They saw you yesterday shopping for 2 rings

The news like a bolt shot right through me
You'd only been seeing him barely 6 weeks
You said we needed some space to sort through feelings

You're crazy for staying with him
Now you're talking about lifetime commitment
Before he gets down on his knee
Won't you hear my insanity plea

I'm not thinking my thoughts very clearly
I'm thinking about starting my car and just merely
Breathing in carbon monoxide to take my life

And if the smoke doesn't do it
I'll soak down his house with gas and lighter fluid
And stab you both a million times with a butcher knife
