Person In Christ

I’ve written so many love songs in my life
But none spoke of love in truth
I’ve looked to loveless things to satisfy
But none pointed me to you

You are not mine; you’re no longer mine
And if I go through this life, as your person, as your person then

Who am I, apart from Christ?
Now I walk through this life, as a person –
I'm a person in Christ

I’ve done so many wrong things in my life
But none, could free me from my pain
Indulged in selfish sin to gratify
To free, but only to enslave
