Darkness Is So Unforgiving

standing in the middle of a crisis
you see me
i can't see you
it's so dark
if we save ourselves
we allow the others to fall
still so dark
and would you die for them
unsatisfied believer
you believe in what you hate
you can't see
we're supposed to trust each other
survival is so one-sided
i saw the example of someone
who gave their life to save my life
when i thought i had it all figured out
in this world
i'm no different
