The Garden

In early dawn my father came by
He said listen, there is nothing I could do
The garden is beautiful and the haze is hanging low
Oh how I surrender to grief
The lake is very still and deep and dark and heavy
And a thousand eyes are watching when I go

Today I leave it all behind

Only a few friends came by this morning
But the ones I love the most where there to comfort me
