Es casi imposible, y a menudo parece tonto, intentar meter buena teología en una simple canción pop de tres minutos. A veces renuncio a intentarlo. Ese fue el caso cuando leí Romanos 7 y 8, en los cuales Pablo confiesa que está dividido entre lo que debería hacer y lo que no debería. Admite que a menudo hace lo que no debería y no hace lo que debería. Una noche, cuando mi hija de dos años miró al cielo y me dijo que el sol y la luna estaban ambos 'encendidos', se me ocurrió cómo condensar dos capítulos de la Escritura en una pequeña canción pop, y aún así tener sentido... Espero. (Romanos 7 y 8)It's almost impossible, and often seems silly, to try cramming good theology into a simple three-minute pop song. Sometimes I give up trying. That was the case when I read Romans 7 & 8, in which Paul confesses that he's torn between what he should do and what he shouldn't. He admits that he often does what he shouldn't and doesn't do what he should. One evening when my two year-old daughter looked at the sky and told me the sun and moon were both "on," it dawned on me how to condense two chapters of Scripture into a tiny pop song - and still make sense...
