As Silence Deepens

As silence deepens
So do my thoughts
Yearning your touch
I reach out, to find that you are there
But cold, growing colder, nights get longer

Sleep's embrace also escapes me, I flail
Trapped in a limbo, a creation of my own thoughts an feelings
But they grow stronger
A passion begging for release

I'm like a tap left running
With no vessel there to contain my being
A grief that I feel for what I may never hold (close)

The sacred chalice my salvation
Within sight out of reach
An instrument awaiting the touch
That will bring forth song
A beautiful melody awaiting release
From the confines of my strings

In vain or not I await
Till this day, in hope I long for this golden song
This chalice to receive my passionate water
