Examine the tangible the gifts of life
The meaningful and meaningless
As we learn to love and share laughter
And grief in the blink of an eye
The tears drip from the cheek and fall to the floor
Soundless shapeless as all the candles have been extinguished

As the waters freeze over and the ruins become ancient
