slashed ear to ear
all too much to take year after year
the mark of failure
a song in passing
a likeness within gray matter
suppress the tears for too long
and become a timebomb
this is the bed I make
this is the pain you gave

an author to a tragedy
writing in the pages of my misery
a victim in the dirt
never forgetting these exit wounds

with their knife to my throat
