Psalm 89

You chose him
To make Your name great
You didn't have to
But You did it as a foretaste

So You promised him
That You'd never abandon him
And his line would
Never, ever find an end

But he failed
We don't like to to talk about it
But his kids failed, too
So who were you talking about?

He was a man
He didn't stick to the plan
But it wasn't about him
It was about somebody else
It was not David
Just from his house
Not even David
In all his strength
Not even David
Could outrun the grave
