Out To Get Me

I've got this paranoid feeling
it makes me shiver to the core
tomorrow I'll just be a picture
just another memory in a drawer
I see the world in water colors
they drip and drain down to the floor
I thought I'd wait a little longer
but now it's harder than before

But someone in this town is trying to kill me
they've got their poison and their people

I'm not sure if they're ever gonna find me
but if they do I know I greet them
with a smile…

I see 'em whispering on the phone
in between safety and destruction
the stress is singing me a song
it's just so nice to hear your voice
the sweet sound fills me all around
but I don't want any part of this
got myself in over my head
