nerves are steady, slowly settling.
oh, the teeth and persistent smiles.
the walls are marked like a temper thinned,
but still no sign of where the light lets in.
all this for my piece of mind.

surrendered to a filament arrest,
i devise the newest alias.
i'm not feeling myself.

and they'll say there's too much
talk of the weather,
but i can do without the guild of voices.
i can do without the guild, the guilt.
