My life is a story that's sometimes hard to listen
But truth always makes itself known
No matter how I try to forget what I'm here to do
I can't help remembering I'm here all on my own

I want to disappear in a sea of humanity
Hide in some great big cosmic whole
But there's no escaping my self-created destiny
As long as my dreams still rage out of control

At least I think I do
That the things we do here are just for fun
But why do they seem to matter so much
As if I were the only one

My heart keeps on beating even though I never asked it to
Someday it wil stop by surprise
But it won't let me go till I've done what I'm here to do
And then only then will it let me close my eyes

But I can't help but wonder
What keeps me on the run
But I guess some day I will finally understand
That I'm not the only one
