En la mañana cuando desperté sin ti por primera vez,on the morning when I woke up without you for the first time,
sentí libertad.I felt free.
y me sentí solo.and I felt lonely.
y me sentí asustado.and I felt scared.
y comencé a hablar conmigo mismo casi de inmediato,and I began to talk to myself almost immediately,
al no estar acostumbrado a ser la única persona allí.not being used to being the only person there.

La primera vez que preparé café solo para mí,the first time I made coffee for just myself,
hice demasiado.I made too much of it.
pero me lo bebí todo,but I drank it all,
solo porque odias cuando dejo las cosas desperdiciadas.just 'cause you hate it when I let things go to waste.
y deambulé por la casa, como un niño perdido en el centro comercial.and I wandered through the house, like a little boy lost at the mall.

En la mañana cuando desperté sin ti por primera vez,on the morning when I woke up without you for the first time,
tenía frío, así que me puse un suéter.I was cold, so I put on a sweater.
y subí la calefacción.and I turned up the heat.
y las paredes comenzaron a cerrarseand the walls began to close in
y me sentí tan triste y asustado,and I felt so sad and frightened,
que prácticamente corrí desde la sala hasta la calle.I practically ran from the living room out into the street.

y el viento comenzó a soplar y todos los árboles comenzaron a doblarse.and the wind began to blow and all the trees began to bend.
y el mundo, a su manera fría, comenzó a cobrar vida.and the world in its cold way started coming alive.
y me quedé allí como un hombre de negocios esperando un tren.and I stood there like a businessman waiting for a train.
y me preparé para que llegara el futuro.and I got ready for the future to arrive.
