Pero tú eres santo, entronizado en las alabanzas de IsraelBut You are holy, enthroned on the praises of Israel
En ti confiaron nuestros padres, confiaron y los librasteIn You our fathers trusted, they trusted and You delivered them
Clamaron a ti y fueron rescatadosThey cried to You and were rescued
Clamaron a ti y no fueron avergonzadosThey cried to You and were not put to shame

Muchos toros me rodean, toros fuertes de BasánMany bulls surround me, strong bulls of Bashan
Abren sus bocas de par en par hacia mí como un león rugienteThey open wide their mouths at me like a raging, roaring lion
Me derramo como agua y mis huesos están descoyuntadosI am poured out like water and my bones are out of joint
Mi corazón es como cera, se derrite dentro de míMy heart is like wax, it is melted within me
Mi fuerza se ha secado como un tiesto y mi lenguaMy strength is dried up like a potsherd and my tongue
Se pega a mis mandíbulas, me has puesto en el polvo de la muerteClings to my jaws, You’ve laid me in the dust of death
Pues perros me rodean, una turba malvada me rodeaFor dogs, they surround me, an evil mob encircles me
Traspasaron mis manos y mis pies, puedo contar mis huesosThey pierced my hands and my feet, I can count my bones
Me miran y se ríen de mí, echan suertes por mis vestidurasThey stare at me and laugh at me, they cast lots for my robes
Pero tú, oh Yahvé, no te alejesBut You, oh Yahweh, do not be far away

Sálvame de la espada y del poder del perroSave me from the sword and the power of the dog
Sálvame de la boca del león y de los cuernos punzantes del toro salvajeSave me from the lion’s mouth and from the goring horns of the wild bull

Alábenlo, descendencia de JacobPraise Him, all you offspring of Jacob
Glorifíquenlo y témanlo, ustedes hijos de IsraelGlorify Him and stand in awe of Him, You child – ren of Israel
Porque no ha despreciado la aflicción del afligidoFor He has not despised the affliction of the afflicted

Mi alabanza viene de ti en la gran congregaciónMy praise comes from You in the great congregation

Todos los confines de la tierra recordarán y se volverán al SeñorAll the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the Lord

La realeza pertenece al Señor y él gobierna sobre las nacionesKingship belongs to the Lord and He rules over the nations

Ante él se postrarán todos los que descienden al polvoBefore Him shall go down all who go down to the dust
