Mon Dieu, mon Dieu, pourquoi m'as-tu abandonné ?My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?
Pourquoi es-tu si loin de m'aider ?Why are You so far from helping me?
Des mots de mes gémissementsFrom the words of my groaning
Oh mon Dieu, je crie vers Toi toute la journéeOh my God, I cry to You all day long
Pourtant, Tu ne réponds pasStill You do not respond
Je crie toute la nuit, et je n'ai aucun reposI cry all the night, and have no rest

Mais Tu es saint, assis sur les louanges d'IsraëlBut You are holy, enthroned on the praises of Israel
En Toi, nos pères ont mis leur confiance, ils ont cru et Tu les as délivrésIn You our fathers trusted, they trusted and You delivered them
Ils ont crié vers Toi et ont été sauvésThey cried to You and were rescued
Ils ont crié vers Toi et n'ont pas été déshonorésThey cried to You and were not put to shame
Mais je suis un verBut I’m a worm

Pas un homme, le fléau de toute l'humanitéNot a man, the scourge of all mankind
Méprisé par tousDespised by everyone
Ils secouent la tête en me regardant, disantThey wag their tongues at me, say-ing
Que Dieu le sauve, puisqu'Il prend tant de plaisir en lui !!Let God rescue him, since He so delights in him!!

Mais Tu es Celui qui m'a tiré du ventreBut You are He who took me from the womb
Tu m'as fait avoir confiance sur les seins de ma mèreYou made me trust on my mother’s breasts
Je suis jeté sur Toi dès ma naissanceI was cast on You from birth
Depuis le ventre de ma mère, Tu es mon DieuFrom my mother’s womb You’ve been my God
Ne sois pas loin de moiDo not be far from me
Car le trouble est proche et il n'y a personne pour aiderFor trouble is near and there is none to help

De nombreux taureaux m'entourent, de puissants taureaux de BashanMany bulls surround me, strong bulls of Bashan
Ils ouvrent grand leurs bouches contre moi comme un lion enragéThey open wide their mouths at me like a raging, roaring lion
Je suis versé comme de l'eau et mes os sont disloquésI am poured out like water and my bones are out of joint
Mon cœur est comme de la cire, il fond en moiMy heart is like wax, it is melted within me
Ma force est desséchée comme un morceau de poterie et ma langueMy strength is dried up like a potsherd and my tongue
S'accroche à mes mâchoires, Tu m'as mis dans la poussière de la mortClings to my jaws, You’ve laid me in the dust of death
Car des chiens m'entourent, une bande de malfaiteurs m'encercleFor dogs, they surround me, an evil mob encircles me
Ils ont percé mes mains et mes pieds, je peux compter mes osThey pierced my hands and my feet, I can count my bones
Ils me fixent et se moquent de moi, ils tirent au sort pour mes vêtementsThey stare at me and laugh at me, they cast lots for my robes
Mais Toi, oh Yahweh, ne sois pas loinBut You, oh Yahweh, do not be far away
Ô ma force, viens vite à mon aide !O my strength, come quickly to my aid!
Sauve-moi de l'épée et du pouvoir du chienSave me from the sword and the power of the dog
Sauve-moi de la gueule du lion et des cornes du taureau sauvageSave me from the lion’s mouth and from the goring horns of the wild bull

Tu m'as réponduYou have answered me

Au milieu de l'assemblée, je Te louerai sans honteIn the midst of the assembly I will praise You without shame
Disant : Vous qui craignez le SeigneurSaying: You who fear the Lord

Louez-le, vous tous descendants de JacobPraise Him, all you offspring of Jacob
Glorifiez-le et tremblez devant Lui, vous enfants d'IsraëlGlorify Him and stand in awe of Him, You child – ren of Israel
Car Il n'a pas méprisé l'affliction de l'affligéFor He has not despised the affliction of the afflicted
Et n'a pas caché Son visage d'eux, mais a entendu quand ils ont crié vers LuiAnd has not hidden His face from them, but heard when they cried to Him
Ma louange vient de Toi dans la grande assembléeMy praise comes from You in the great congregation
Je tiendrai mes vœux devant ceux qui Le craignentI will perform my vows before those who fear Him
Les pauvres mangeront à leur faim et seront satisfaitsThe poor will eat their fill and be satisfied
Et ceux qui Le cherchent loueront leAnd those who seek Him shall praise the
Seigneur, que votre cœur vive pour toujoursLord, may your heart live forever

Tous les bouts de la terre se souviendront et se tourneront vers le SeigneurAll the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the Lord
Et toutes les familles des nations Te loueront, carAnd all the families of the nations will worship You, for
La royauté appartient au Seigneur et Il règne sur les nationsKingship belongs to the Lord and He rules over the nations
Et tous les prospères de la terre mangeront et adorerontAnd all the prosperous of the earth shall eat and worship

Devant Lui s'abaisseront tous ceux qui descendent dans la poussièreBefore Him shall go down all who go down to the dust
Même ceux qui ne pouvaient pas se maintenir en vieEven those who could not keep themselves alive
La postérité Le servira, on racontera au Seigneur à la génération suivantePosterity shall serve him, it shall be told of the Lord to the next generation
