Before The Storm

Everything stood still, time seemed to freeze
An eerie silence cast
All creatures staring to the Heavens, awaiting a storm
A cold wind blows over, lighting strikes down
Hurricanes and thunder, the roar of the storm
Silhouettes descend, from the skies
All seemed calm
Winds halted, the silhouettes rose
Tremors, split the Earth
The ground, shook and ascended
Thirteen, landmasses, strewn across the Earth
Shrouded in a sea of clouds
These floating isles now sacred grounds
Chosen by the mighty gods of Asgard
To bring order, and balance
To this archaic realm
