Beyond The Lake

I keep on my way, beyond the lake
Where melancholy prevails every day
I came walking alone, no one held out my hand
Deceived and challenged even by the gods
I found peace within anger

Away from home, my feet bled during the journey
But I decided to recover from the ashes
Whoever I was is gone
I'm going to get up and head towards my throne

Beyond the lake I see the Sun rise
Announcing the arrival of a new day
In anger or loneliness
I expect nothing more from this material life

I found peace within myself
I found rest in the purest form of misanthropy
And here beyond the lake is
Where I wait for the time of my death
Where I will see the trees rotting
Until I become nothing
