I have walked around these streets all night
Afraid to stand still
And face the terrorist inside
Swallow down her deadly pill

I have hidden from questioning looks
Afraid to fall short
Hanging from melodic hooks
Frozen in a minor chord

I'm lost in art

I'm lost in pride
I lost my heart without a fight

I stopped talking to myself today
Afraid to make sense
I can't leave you but I cannot stay
I'll hurt myself in self-defence

Will you bring your love to me in time
To save what's left of me?
Bring me poetry that blows my mind
Clear as only dreams can be
