I parked my car beside the highway
and I didnt lock the door
left a note there with the keys
if she cranks then friend she's yours

then i struck out across texas
gunna walk it line for line
now i'm half way cross new mexico
and your still on my mind

this road keeps going nowhere
just leads me on and on
ask I ask myself with every step
will i ever be alone
