Temptation

A stolen glance in the moonlight
A subtle touch and I believe again
Trying to feel our wary steps
In the darkness that is sweet
Like the red wine on your lips
Just like the illusions that I'll miss
When finally all this slips away...

Dreaming under torrid ruins
The embers fade into the mist
And I could scream but I must pretend
The world hasn't changed
And I'm the same

But I know the distance will slowly withdraw
And dreams will fade away

Still the shadows of hurtful doubts
Of they fill my sleepless nights...

Finally adrift in the shelter of dreams
