Miraron hacia arriba y vieron una estrellaThey looked up and saw a star
Brillando en el este más allá de ellos,Shining in the east beyond them far,
Y a la tierra le dio gran luz,And to the earth it gave great light,
Y así continuó tanto de día como de noche.And so it continued both day and night.

Y por la luz de esa misma estrellaAnd by the light of that same star
Tres sabios vinieron de lejos;Three wise men came from country far;
Para buscar a un rey era su intención,To seek for a king was their intent,
Y seguir la estrella a dondequiera que fuera.And to follow the star wherever it went.

Esta estrella se acercó al noroeste,This star drew nigh to the northwest,
Sobre Belén tomó su descanso,O'er Bethlehem it took it rest,
Y allí se detuvo y permanecióAnd there it did both stop and stay
Justo sobre el lugar donde yacía Jesús.Right over the place where Jesus lay.

Entonces entraron esos tres sabiosThen entered in those wise men three
Con toda reverencia de rodillas,Full reverently upon their knee,
y ofrecieron allí en su presenciaand offered there in his presence
Su oro, mirra e incienso.Their gold, and myrrh, and frankincense.

Entonces todos juntos de común acuerdoThen let us all with one accord
Cantemos alabanzas a nuestro Señor celestial;Sing praises to our heavenly Lord;
Que ha creado el cielo y la tierra de la nada,That hath made heaven and earth of naught,
Y con su sangre ha redimido a la humanidadAnd with his blood mankind hath bought
