Dusk To Dawn

I float in a pool of darkness as cold presses inside me
I am alone floating aimlessly, I reach away blindly
I ache in sorrow, I hunger to leave, to escape, to leave this prison
Nothing but darkness, a faint last hope, I know there is no escape

Shards of glass fall from the sky as I sit alone and cry
The shards cut in my skin and I know the groves are nigh
My blood soaks in the ground as you watch me drown
You'll watch me drift away at the time I'm put falling down

All tied down
In gloomy gown
Freedom lost from dusk to dawn
All alone
Tears but flown
Lost forever in what life has shown

My heart burnt out
I'm tired to shout
Through the mist there is no route

The somber night around me, so opaque, infinity
If for a single day I just could see a ray of sun
I could finally set myself free, feel the light, have a dream
But forever I am bound, bound in these salty tears
