Radiation Sickness

Time has gone by with a sunless planet ashes have blocked out the light
All over the earth decays the innocent are the ones who will die
Half-eaten bodies lie on the ground terror on their mutilated faces
Their death mask tells my story extinction of the human race
Blackened skies lie above me bleeding internally
It is our destiny to die from radiation sickness

I feel bloated from my blood see my hair fall out before my eyes
Generals warm and snug in their mountain fortresses
They are not the ones who will die
I trip blindly through melted ruins lack of oxygen gone to my head
Sight slowly fading from my eyes I am still walking but I am already dead
