By kind permission and a saving grace
I touched down in a wonderful place
A lady from the north said, she'd show me around
And I still can see her face

Wish me on my way
I won't be coming back today
I bid you all good-bye
I'll send a card when I arrive

Across the water through a daylight dream
Above the mountains I hear it call to me
When are you coming back, when are you coming back to me

Someday I'll make it there, I'll make it back to my High Street
