The five awaken from their slumber
Blinded by visions of the elements of life
Leading to a scorched earth
A crows nest shrouded in metal and rust
Even scraps fear nothingness

I've seen blackened, deserted shores
Calling me, whispering lore
Is uncertainty safer than security?
Life reduced to moments powered on, flickering

Prodigal machinery
Crawling back to the devil I know
Tricked out, a workaround for free will
Got what we thought we wanted
What we thought we knew
Touched the wires together
Wade through the yellow waters
And then the rust, and then the rust
The death of us
Freedom, corrosion, death by determinism
I'm going back to the cage
That knows what's best for me
Throw myself at their feet
And cease to dream
The five return to their slumber
