Life is More Than a Catchphrase

Life passes by and you don’t even see
I remember when my mom first came to me
She said: Son, life is hard, but wherever you be
There’s nothing in the world that you can’t achieve

I really wanted to believe it
Believe that everything is pretty
But it’s time to grow up and realize

That the world is a mess
And if you think about that
It will never matter how hard you try

Because the world was not made for you

But in the end, you’re just dust in the wind

Maybe things will get better when we face

I think being free can be a little scary
Things that comes with it are way too much to carry
It can be a huge thing to face up the truth
Freedom is what you do with what’s been done to you

I've been running from the truth
Being hidden on my youth
But it’s time to grow up and realize
