Don't Give Me That

There's something I really want to know.
Could you tell me why you want to live a lying status quo.
I don't believe it when you say that you already know His truth.
You're only running from a string of broken hearts and fading youth.

Don't give me that.

You can't even look me in the eye.
When I say Jesus came to earth to bear the cross, suffer and die.
He'll never leave us.
Then you tell me that your truth may not be mine.
