Life’s been getting rough
I think I’ll pack up my stuff and cacth the train
To see the sun in the morning

It’s been a while since I’ve written to
The starts and the moon
And they are wondering where I’ve been

One foot in front of the other
I can think of the things I’ve done
Put my coffee in my pocket
Grab a pen and write a novel
Explaining where I’ve been

I’ve seen many faces
Different shapes in different fases
Of the world reflected on their skin
It’s been a while since I’ve admitted to
All that you do
And I felt a peace of mind

One foot in front of the other
I can think of the things you’ve done
Put my flowers in a locker
Grab an envelope to seal this novel of myself
