This world claimed our substance long ago
As soon as we started praying for all those things that we were promised as kids
Rebelling for aspirations of order
But submitting with poor form to the words of our fathers

"If you own nothing, then you can give nothing"
Repair all those things that they swore they fixed
The mirrors, the walls, and all those broken teeth
Through fevers and fits we could finally see
