At Least That's What They Say

Now I wish you happiness, in everything you do, I guess.
I know you cannot give me everything, but love I must confess.
Every night and day it seems, as though you're
there in all my dreams.
The voice within my heart calls out for you,
it sometimes even screams.

Why is life so unforgiving, to the ones like you and I?
Why can't we have each other, it's enough to make one cry.

But people say we can't be free, to do the things we want,
