Living In Shame

How, can you feel protected, from, from these troubled days?
You may be the next victim, innocent, but caught in the maze.
How can one avoid this, these things where you've done no
wrong?
I, I wanna go on living, but not to be in jail so long.

Why, why don't we all think so why is there more pain than fun?
The answer is known by he who shows, no sorrow for what he has done.
How can we teach our children, that the things they are doing are bad?
Crime means prison for certain, and those who are inmates are sad.

When, when will these times change, the times when fear shows a lot?
Or will the times be returning, when an answer ends with a shot?
Why, why can't we understand, that crime is not just a game?
For troubles where cause is uncertain, hurts the one who is living in shame.
