Smoke rises from their limbs

Ritual of blood and fecal matter tangled in a pile
All the shit of the universe
The infinities among our guts
Such a confusion

Snakes of excrement and worse

Separate all the waste
Sift through all the rubble
There is so little of us
When it all laid bare
The candle burns lower

The universe echoes in our bones
The stars are dim in memory
