Bright Red Marker

So they took a bright red marker
And wrote it loud
You're gonna run until your legs break
And call me for a ride into the next town
But i won't be around

The things in our suitcases
Stay locked hidden away
And they're never half as scary as the things
We wake up with every day

So put a sweater on
If you're hearts grown that much colder
Slept straight through september, october
Bleach the floors
Hide the remains
And chalk it up to yesterday

'cause as of late, we're not living
We're just wasting away
