De Heer is mijn herderThe Lord is my shepherd
Ik heb niets te kortI shall not want
Hij laat me rusten in groene weidenHe makes me lie down in green pastures
Hij leidt me langs stille waterenHe leads me beside still waters
En Hij herstelt mijn zielAnd He restores my soul
En leidt me waar ik moet gaanAnd guides me where I should go

Ja, al wandel ik door het dal van de schaduw van de doodYea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death
Zal ik niet vrezenI will not fear
Want U bent bij mijFor You are with me
Uw staf en uw stok, zij geven mij moedYour rod and Your staff they are comforting

U bereidt een tafel voor mijYou prepare a table before me
Hoewel mijn vijanden dichtbij komenThough my enemies press in close
Olie van zalving giet U over mijOil of anointing you pour over me
En mijn beker loopt overAnd my cup overflows

En goedheid en genadeAnd goodness and mercy
Zullen mij volgen al mijn dagenWill follow me all of my days
