I looked at the sky, the sun-setted clouds
And out of them came
An aeroplane loud
It reached for the stars flew over the moon
And not long after
Birds flew in swoon
Red brick it shone over plants it moved
And under the shadows
Crept the full moon
A creature crawled
A tip-toe betrayed by the non-nocturnal
Where curfew stays
Don't be out when shadows bloom
Flowers cover their faces from the raccoons
It's a scene for them

Reaching for the stars
