Refuse To Reach

Standing on this cliff
My back to the edge
Burden has taken hold
And broke my wings
These cuts wont heal
They only increase in number
I can't pull free from this
Knife in my back
My hands outstretched
Reaching for a reason not to say goodbye
Grasping nothing
