Breaking Away

Did i meet your requirements yet? am i good enough for you? the truth is that this matters and it makes me who i am. i'm not looking to impress you or asking for a hand.
Don't approve what i say it's fine to close your door, because i'm bursting at the seams and you won't hold me back anymore.
I've been told many times that i need certain things to get by in life, but i'm doing this my way right here, right now.

Because i'm never going to let myself be a product of someone else's rules.
Please don't be so condescending, accept that i just might surpass the limits that you set for me.
It must be hard to realize that i'm not turning out half bad.
And it breaks your heart to see just how very far that i may go.
