A Winter's Tale

There was a boy
He lived atop the mountain
It was beautiful, so full of life
It was very good for him

Her scent was wonderful
Her plants and animals were all
Friendly with the boy
Living there was wonderful

Sometimes there was
A very cold wind
Everything became too cold and silent
He waited at home for the cold to pass

Soon summer would return and bring joy outside
It was impossible to relish the mountain in the cold
Stuck indoors with nothing to do

Why did it have to be this way?
Such a beautiful place, but so complicated!

It was impossible to know when the cold
Would strike again and make life harder

Why is it so cold when life needs warmth?
Why can't I predict his arrival?
All I wanted was not to be stuck at home
Thinking this is going to last forever

Why do those turmoils disturb this beautiful place?
How can I make this cold not destroy all I've planted?

All I wanted was to be able to spend many days
Feeling the heat and watching my seeds grow
