The light split the sky
And I saw your wings burning
Father said: Cast him down

I wish you hadn't
You fell through my tears
And Heaven stayed silent

I carried His will in my hands
But your name in my heart
Tell me brother
When did Heaven become Hell?
And the Heavens wept for you
As I fell on my knees too
The light turned cold when I was told
To love you no more
But how can an angel forget
His brother's fall?

Why, brother? Why destroy our home?
Why tear apart the love that made us whole?
You had the sky
We had eternity
And you burned it all just to feel free
Was it pride? Was it pain?
Was I the one to blame?
You call it freedom, but all I see are chains

You were the flame, I was the guard
You reached too high, I fell too far
They call me righteous
But I just feel scarred
And I beg the stars to bring you back
I tore my wings trying to reach you
But Heaven closed its gates
And I obeyed
And the Heavens still cry with me
For the brother I had to set free
Even angels bleed
