Summer's come
I don't wanna miss
the smooth caress of the wind
all the lights and every shining dream
they make the city bright so bright

During the day
you seem to be
a lonely man in the crowd
everyone wants to be the first
but it's so hard to be to be

And folks pass on the sidewalk, laughing
and girls are smiling too
this crazy city by your side this city by your side

During the night
everything is clearer
you may say I am nuts
but it's the dark who lets them move
