Man Overboard

Far from any land
Across the dark blue sea
In a big ship
Is where they heard a scream

A body on the water
Looking at them
A soul lost in the ocean
But it was not dead

Man overboard, they screamed
Not sure if it was a male
They sent a floater, but the soul
Didn't move a nail
So the voice said
I'm not the one who's lost
And the people didn't get
Didn't understand the voice

Such effort to help that person
But they didn't seem to want to be helped
They thrown a rope, but the poor soul
Couldn't have held

So the soul flew over them
They could see it was a girl
She announced then
Leave me alone, this is my world!
