You thought you were kind of someone
That you were right on the spot
But the sad truth was those who applauded you
Were waiting for the pieces you left to fall

You grabbed their attention
They want to possess you
You're just like the rare flower
To add to their own collection

Fighting my demons I have learnt
That nothing lasts forever, they say
Come what may come, time and the hour
Runs through the roughest day
