Life is like a long walkA vida é como longa caminhada
And challenges we have to faceE desafios temos para enfrentar
Thorns hurt, rocks hinderEspinhos ferem pedregulhos atrapalham
Faced with this, we think about stoppingDiante disto, nós pensamos em parar
But if we are tired of the journeyMas se cansados estivermos da jornada
There is a safe place to turn toHá um lugar seguro para recorrer
Getting discouraged won't help us at allDesanimar não nos ajudará em nada
But resting in God we can overcomeMas descansando em Deus poderemos vencer

There is a place where I find reliefHá um lugar onde eu encontro alívio
And renewed I always come out of thereE renovado eu sempre saio de lá
This place is the shadow of the AlmightyEste lugar é a sombra do onipotente
There I rest when I think about stoppingLá eu descanso quando penso em parar

In the shadow of the Almighty I restA sombra do onipotente eu descanso
He is my refuge, I can trustEle é o meu refúgio, posso confiar
My God delivers me and covers me with His wingsMeu Deus me livra e me cobre com suas asas
Day or night nothing will reach meDe dia ou noite nada me alcançará
He sends angels to guard my wayEnvia anjos pra guardar o meu caminho
And they hold my hands to guide meE eles seguram minhas mãos pra me guiar
Firm in Him I will overcome the enemyFirmado nEle vencerei o inimigo
For He saved me and gave His life out of lovePois me salvou e deu a vida por me amar
