Way Back Down The Track

Times have changed and we are changing too
I can’t deny I was part of the end of me and you
And I can see you turning back
To that old self you left behind way back down the track
I know you want to get rid of the ghost of me
I’ll try to stop haunting you, fly away free

I’ll try to smack some sense into myself
Stop worrying about what you think nor anybody else
Maybe I'm just the same as that
Old person I left behind way back down the track
I'm a bird that’s used to its old cage, not knowing where to go
Not knowing where to fly away
Should I take a wrong turn when I spread my wings
Could end up in a cat’s mouth or some other horrid thing
