Only 16

Such an impatient girl.
At only 16.
Can't wait to see the world.
She think she's missing.
Out on what's going on.
She hangs out with all the boys.
And down for whatever it takes to make herself fit in.

If she only had some direction things might be different.
If her mother showed some affection took time to listen.
She wouldn't do those things.
She'd have some self- esteem.
And courage to overcome anything.

Such a lonely girl.
At only 16.
In her own little world.
No one was listening.
To what she had to say.
Tell her it's ok.
Take her under their wings and show her the way.
