Withering Of Reveries

What is the point in going on if you know you'll never
reach your dreams?
What purpose does life offer after all the hopes are taken away?
I used to think that if we try enough and focus,
we can reach our dreams and make them real.

Now I know is not that simple.
There are always things beyond our grasp.
Some things, we just can't reach no matter how we try.
For me, it is the only thing I ever wanted.
For me, it is the chance to spread my wings and leave everything behind.
But instead,
I am locked into this aviary with my wings broken and dreams shattered.
